Martin S. Hanley
President
Marty has served as President of Land and Lakes Development Company since 1998. He is responsible for all aspects of development, construction, leasing and sales. He is a licensed broker in Illinois and Wisconsin and brings extensive experience in commercial leasing, having negotiated more than 350 lease transactions totaling over 6.0 million square feet of office and industrial space. Marty received a B.S. from Creighton University and a J.D. from Loyola University. mhanley@land-and-lakes.com
Mary Margaret Cowhey
Vice President
Mary oversees financial matters for the company, and manages the environmental business run by affiliate Land and Lakes Company. She is a licensed broker in Illinois and Wisconsin. Mary Margaret holds a B.S. from Georgetown University, an MBA from Northwestern University, a JD from the University of Chicago, and an LLM from Chicago-Kent School of Law.
Thomas Fitzsimons
Chief Financial Officer
Tom serves as the chief Financial Officer of the Land and Lakes group of affiliated companies. He is responsible for all financial reporting, corporate investment, and insurance matters for the companies. Prior to joining Land and Lakes in 1990, Tom was the Assistant Controller for Inland Real Estate. Tom has a BS in accounting from Marquette University and an
MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg school of Management.

Michael Swiatowiec
PE, LEED, AP
Mike is the company’s Director of Engineering. He is responsible for overseeing engineering design work and construction of land development projects. Prior to joining Land and Lakes in 1997, he had 13 years of experience as a senior civil engineer for Envirodyne Engineers and Branecki-Virgilio & Associates. Mike has a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA in Finance from DePaul University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois and is certified as a LEED Accredited Professional. mswiatowiec@land-and-lakes.com
Barbara Jarecki
Office Administrator
As the longest serving member of the Land and Lakes team, Barb Jarecki is an expert in all things administrative, including environmental permitting requirements and forms.Barbara supervises all Accounts Receivable and Payable functions.
